Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan – August 2025

In recent days, relentless monsoon rains have triggered devastating flash floods across several districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), leaving behind a trail of destruction. According to official reports, more than 360 people have tragically lost their lives, while thousands have been injured and displaced from their homes.

Entire villages have been submerged, roads and bridges washed away, and agricultural lands destroyed. The floods have not only claimed lives but also left countless families without shelter, food, clean drinking water, and medical care. Women, children, and the elderly are among the most vulnerable, struggling for survival in temporary camps with little access to basic necessities.

Local authorities and humanitarian organizations are working tirelessly to reach the affected areas. However, the scale of the disaster has overwhelmed available resources, and urgent assistance is required to prevent further loss of life and suffering.
