Water Wells
Water Wells
Conscious that clean drinking water is a basic human right next to myriad other innate human rights, Shibli Trust works with dedication to build water wells in areas of Pakistan where water sources are scarce or contaminated, resulting in fatal diseases and undernourishment especially in women and children.
Shibli Trust is dedicated to this mission and provides long-term water solutions for underserved communities through its water, sanitation, and hygiene projects, such as the installation of automated water pumps and handpumps in rural areas across Pakistan, thanks to generous donations from local and international donors. Thanks to these efforts, communities could have consistent supply of safe drinking water and enhanced health conditions, particularly in places with scarce water resources.
Shibli Trust prioritizes the most underprivileged communities, including women and children, who are greatly vulnerable to suffer the aftereffects of poor sanitation and waterborne infections. With each water well built, numerous infection cases significantly decrease, improving community health in rural areas.Shibli Trust also collaborates with local communities to raise awareness about the importance of education, organizing community outreach programs, and conducting workshops on relevant topics such as literacy, vocational skills, and digital literacy. Through its educational support programs, Shibli Trust strives to uplift individuals and communities, promoting a more inclusive and empowered society.
Shibli Trust requests constant donor assistance for mitigating and resolving Pakistan’s current clean water issue, especially in the wake of the devastating flash floods which obliterated or polluted numerous reservoirs across the country, displayed millions and inundated a third of the country’s geography, affecting over 30 million people in a population of over 240 million.
Thanks to your donations, we can always build water wells in locations where access to clean water remains sparse.
